KEY FEATURES:
• HPDP contains a dithiopyridyl group which is reactive towards sulfhydryl groups (-SH) such as in cysteine (C) side chain to form stable disulfide bond
• Contains a spacer arm with a length of 29.2 Å that prevents steric hindrance to biotin labeling
• The spacer is cleavable at the disulfide bond with reducing agent, such as DTT, TCEP, etc.
• Must be dissolved in an organic solvent such as DMF or DMSO before dilution with aqueous buffers
APPLICATIONS:
• Ideal for biotinylating antibody or protein for use in protein detection, purification or immobilization
